What I’m Watching:

The Thanksgiving Day Special, Chicago at Anaheim, Vancouver at Columbus, and Minnesota at Dallas.

  •  Nick Spaling (Penguins) was skating on a line with Hornqvist and Crosby – kid has come a long way from being a 3rd liner for Nashville.
  • Bryan Little (Jets) has a three game goal streak.
  • David Pastrnak (Bruins) has graduated to skating on the top line with Marchand and Bergeron during practice. Odds are he starts the game there as well.
  • After coming off being shutout last night, look for some offense to come out of the Oilers – I’m keeping my eye on Taylor Hall.
  • Blue Jackets Tim Erixon will slot in for Kevin Connauton tonight
  • Keep an eye on the new 3rd line for the Canucks – all centers. Richardson, Vey, & Matthias are skating together.

NHL Schedule:

What I’m Watching:

Los Angeles at Nashville and New Jersey at Vancouver. Last year, Nashville seemed to have the California teams number. Against the Kings, they won twice, and took the third game to a shootout. Can they repeat that this year?

Player(s) to Watch:

  • Filip Forsberg and James Neal (Nashville).
  • The STL  (Schwartz, Tarasenko, Lehtera) for St Louis.
  • Radim Vrbata & Linden Vey (Canucks).
  • Taylor Hall (Oilers)
  • The entire Dallas offense against a terrible Oilers defense. Oilers shouldn’t be shopping for a center, they should be firing whoever’s in control of their defense and fix that problem.

Pittsburgh at Boston is going to be by far the best game on tv tonight. I’ll probably end up tuning into Minnesota at Florida as well, just in the hopes that the Wild are being tamed.

  • Tomas Tatar (Red Wings) has 5 goals and 2 assists in his past 5 games

What I’m Watching:

Montreal at New York and Chicago at Vancouver. It’s Sunday night Rivalry Night (take note NBCSN)

Player(s) to Watch:

  • Sam Gagner (Coyotes) has assists in 3 straight games.
  • With Dan Hamhuis (Canucks) out, someone is going to have to step up and fill his time (20+ minutes a night). Will Frankie Corrado finally draw in (please oh please)
  • Speaking of Canucks, Bo Horvat has been killing it on faceoffs (56%, higher than Henrik Sedin). He also finally netted his first NHL goal.
  • Keep an eye on the STL (Schwartz, Tarasenko, Lehtera). They’ve been racking up goals and points all season.
