What I’m Watching:
Boston at Toronto, because who can ever forget that playoff series that spawned #itwasfourone and other similar jokes. 4-1 has become the most dangerous lead in hockey, in my opinion.
Chicago at St. Louis for some really good hockey. Yes, Paul Stastny is still out, but both teams have grit, skill and a lot of hatred for each other. It’s not a matter of who wants the win more, it’s a matter of who’s on point tonight enough to get it.
Patric Hornqvist & Nick Spaling’s return to Nashville to face their old team. James Neal versus his old team. If you’re a fan of either of those, you’re tuning in. Hornqvist & Crosby have been hot, but Neal is coming off a tremendous night where he registered a hat trick. Could this come down to a goalie duel? Possibly.
Player(s) to Watch:
- Tyler Johnson (Lightning) has a 5 game point streak going on.
- James Neal (Predators) may have been slow to start as the Predators built chemistry, but no one can deny that he’s found his place in the team now.
- Nick Spaling (Penguins) has had a hot hand and has been one of the best on the team the last couple of games.
- Brock Nelson (Islanders) continues his unsustainable shooting percentage, however it’s starting to fall back to earth (40%). Give it a couple more games to level out.
